Book Review- Metal Clay Artist Magazine
This fine new magazine is devoted to metal clay artists and their work. Jeannette LeBlanc, the editor and creator at the helm, has not disappointed with the launch of Metalclay Artist Magazine!
The magazine is $7.99 per issue and is packed with 72 pages of full color eye candy. It features several columns such as a Tool Review, Classroom/Teaching tips, Artist Profile, Business Tips, Gallery, Studio Tips and Tricks. It also included 6 projects that ranged from Beginner to Advanced.
The magazine is well laid out and the type font is easy to read. Additionally, the front cover has a beautiful matte finish and the weight of the pages are thicker than most. The magazine is full of information and thankfully there is not a whole lot of filler or wasted space. You also won’t find an excess of advertising, like so many magazines today.
A big bonus is that the magazine definitely had an international feel, more than any other magazine available today for jewelry. Artists and advertisers from many countries were featured. The magazine continues to foster the great sense of international community.
I’m looking forward to the next issue due out this month! It’s not too late. You can get your copy of the magazine at Whole Lotta Whimsy!
