It’s almost the weekend. I’m reviewing some of my affirmations and trying to let go of the morning stresses. I’ve been thinking today about how people are experiencing rough times. Really rough times. Many people I know have recently experience tragic loss with loved ones, finances, savings, homes and job losses. I find myself asking what can I do other than to comfort and extend a hand to those that I know and or are willing to meet?
We are what we think. All that we are arises with our thoughts. With our thoughts we make our world.”
–The Buddha.
It really all does start with us. Perhaps that’s how we can help others and change/help the world. I was re-reading this great daily teaching by Rhonda Byrne:
“Look for the gifts in everything, especially when you are facing what appears to be a negative situation. Everything that we attract causes us to grow, which means that ultimately everything is for our own good. Adjusting to a new path and a new direction will require new qualities and strengths, and these qualities are always exactly what we need to acquire in order to accomplish the great things in our life.”.
We are embarking on a new beginning soon….or what most of us would like to think is a new beginning. I’m ready with positive thoughts and energy. I’d like to do my part to turn things around. More importantly I’d like to stay positive about the future. How about you? What have you been doing or thinking? Are you still in a state of organizing, resolving, and reflecting?
I highly recommend Rhonda’s Daily Teachings. It’s not a book but similar to a desk calendar without the date coordinating to today’s date. So you can start it anytime! Do you have a daily affirmation book or journal that you recommend?
