Back in the Saddle Again

Oh boy!  Apologies all around for being gone for almost a month.  I of course, over did it with too much travel and stress for the last 8 months!  Shows and conferences, oh my!  I’m famous for this.  A complete body melt down.  Of course the mind was gone long ago.  I’ve spent many vacations in the hotel sick or at the urgent care.  No one wants to vacation with me.  I guess the expectations have been met and the body tells me it’s done and wants a vacation of it’s own.

Anyway after Arrowmont, I left to teach a certification class in northern AZ.  I was rejoicing in the car on the way home that I was done with commitments with shows/conferences for awhile.  What I didn’t know is that I had pancreatitis, which was about to strike like a mean snake.  Thank goodness for google maps on my iphone, which allowed me to find an urgent care 2 hours away from home.  With strict instructions to go straight to the local hospital in Phoenix (they tried to make me get in an ambulance), I decided instead to drive home.  They didn’t know this or would never have let me leave.  I am so stubborn and pig headed.  I did make it home, whew.  Four days later, I have now one less organ that apparently I didn’t need. I feel just great now and am ready to get back in the saddle!

On my agenda are new and regular posts for my blog and a new newsletter for Whole Lotta Whimsy.  Thanks for checking back and trying to read my blog.  I apologize that there hasn’t been anything to read.  Hopefully it won’t happen again.  Haven’t signed up for the newsletter yet?  You can do that here:

Cheers for now 🙂
